10-foot python found in girls' hostel bathroom in Sagar

Students at a girls' hostel in the Tili locality of Sagar experienced a startling moment when a 10-foot python was discovered in one of the bathroom facilities. The unexpected encounter sent residents into a state of panic as news of the snake spread through the accommodation.

Snake catcher Akeel Baba was alerted to the incident and promptly arrived at the hostel to handle the situation. Using professional techniques, Baba safely captured and relocated the python away from the premises, ensuring no harm came to either the reptile or the residents.

According to Baba, the Tili area's proximity to forested hills makes python sightings relatively common in the region. He noted that pythons have been discovered in the locality on multiple previous occasions and indicated he has personally conducted rescue operations for approximately 70 to 75 pythons in the area.

The incident underscores the importance of remaining vigilant in regions adjacent to natural habitats, where wildlife occasionally ventures into human settlements in search of food or shelter.
