ILOILO CITY — Medical personnel provided assistance to at least 18 individuals during the Undas observance in Iloilo City, according to the Iloilo City Emergency Operations Center.
The EOC disclosed the figures in a situational report released Monday morning, Nov. 2, noting that medical teams had been strategically positioned at cemeteries throughout the city to respond to health emergencies during the two-day observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.
Elders among the cemetery visitors constituted a significant portion of those requiring medical attention during the traditionally busy period when families gather to pay respects to deceased loved ones.
The deployment of medical personnel to key burial grounds reflected preparations by city authorities to manage potential health incidents amid expected large crowds visiting cemeteries during the annual commemoration.
