MANILA — The 1PWD Party-list filed a formal complaint-referral with the National Bureau of Investigation on Monday against the hosts and producers of the Machong Chismisan podcast, citing insensitive remarks directed at Josh Aquino, son of television personality Kris Aquino, who is on the autism spectrum.

1PWD Representative JD Castro personally submitted the complaint at the NBI's headquarters in Pasay, bringing the matter to the attention of national law enforcement authorities. The party-list organization, which advocates for persons with disabilities, expressed concern over the podcast's handling of commentary related to an individual with autism.

The complaint marks an escalation in efforts to address what the party-list characterized as inappropriate public commentary. The action underscores ongoing concerns within advocacy circles regarding media responsibility and sensitivity toward individuals with developmental disabilities.

The NBI has not yet issued a statement regarding the complaint or details of any potential investigation. The case highlights broader discussions in the Philippines about media accountability and the treatment of public figures with disabilities in entertainment and online platforms.
