32 workers freed from bonded labour in Karnataka sugarcane fields

Thirty-two workers have been liberated from bonded labour arrangements in the sugarcane fields of Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka, according to labour authorities. The rescue operation was conducted following reports of systematic labour exploitation in the agricultural sector, where workers were found to be trapped in conditions of debt servitude.
