₹4,249-crore projects launched in north Andhra with job creation focus

Thirty development projects valued at ₹4,249 crore received formal consecration at a Confederation of Indian Industry regional gathering in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant push for industrial expansion across the region. The projects span four districts in north Andhra Pradesh and are positioned to unlock substantial employment generation in the locality.

According to project developers and investors, the initiatives are expected to create 23,256 direct jobs once operational. The scale of the investment and employment potential underscores the region's emerging role as an economic hub in South India, drawing capital and business interest from multiple sectors.

The bhoomi puja ceremony, a traditional blessing performed before commencement of construction, reflects the cultural significance attributed to major infrastructure and industrial ventures in the region. The CII conference served as a platform for industry stakeholders to showcase investment opportunities and regional development strategies to investors and government officials.

The launch of these projects comes as Andhra Pradesh continues efforts to diversify its economic base beyond established sectors, leveraging its geographic location and infrastructure development to attract manufacturing and service industries to north Andhra.
