The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has lodged accusations against student groups at Jawaharlal Nehru University, claiming that pro-Umar Khalid slogans and references to Naxalbari have appeared on campus walls.
The right-wing student organization alleged that messaging supportive of the activist, who has been at the centre of multiple controversies, were found painted in various locations across the JNU campus. The ABVP characterized the graffiti campaign as reflective of political activity it views as concerning.
Additionally, the ABVP has accused Neha Bora, president of the All India Students Association (AISA), of raising slogans in support of Khalid during campus demonstrations. The claims represent an escalation in ideological tensions between competing student groups at the prestigious university.
The allegations emerge in the context of ongoing disputes at educational institutions over political expression and activism. JNU has frequently witnessed confrontations between student organizations representing different political orientations. No official response from AISA or university administration has been immediately available.
