ACKO launches trio of preventive insurance products for Indian customers

ACKO has introduced three new insurance products aimed at protecting customers through preventive measures rather than reactive claims settlement. The trio comprises DriveCam, a telematics-based motor insurance product; Clinic, a health insurance offering; and AirPass, a travel protection plan. Each product incorporates mechanisms designed to help customers avoid or minimize losses before they occur.

The DriveCam product leverages vehicle-mounted camera technology to monitor driving behaviour and provide real-time feedback to motorists, potentially reducing accident rates through driver coaching and risk assessment. The approach represents a shift in how motor insurers assess and manage risk exposure in India's growing automotive sector.

The Clinic and AirPass products similarly emphasize preventive healthcare access and travel safety respectively, bundling coverage with proactive services. This model aligns with broader trends in the global insurance industry toward customer engagement and risk mitigation strategies.

The launch reflects ACKO's strategy to differentiate itself in India's competitive insurance market by emphasizing loss prevention alongside traditional coverage. The products target consumers seeking more comprehensive protection mechanisms that extend beyond standard indemnification.
