ACME Solar inks 300 MW renewable energy deal with SECI

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd announced on Monday that its subsidiary ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd has signed a Power Procurement Agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 300 MW of capacity with 1,200 MWh of assured peak supply. The agreement, part of SECI's Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) ninth tranche, carries a tariff of ₹6 per unit and becomes effective from October 6, 2026.

The FDRE project is designed to address India's evolving energy needs by providing reliable, dispatchable clean power during peak evening and night-time demand hours when solar generation is unavailable. This capability is expected to enhance grid stability as the nation transitions toward higher renewable energy penetration in its power generation mix.

Under the agreement, ACME Solar will supply 4 MWh per MW of contracted capacity for four hours daily during non-solar periods, ensuring consistent power availability during critical demand windows. The company will deliver power during these designated off-peak solar hours to support reliable grid operations.

Following this agreement, ACME Solar's portfolio of projects with signed power purchase agreements under construction now stands at 4,310 MW out of its total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW. The development positions the company among major renewable energy suppliers supporting India's clean energy expansion objectives.
