Actor Raveendran appointed Kerala Chalachitra Academy chairman
Malayalam cinema veteran Raveendran has been named chairman of the Kerala Chalachitra Academy, the state's premier film institution. Filmmaker and screenwriter Priyanka Nair will serve as vice-chairperson in the newly constituted leadership.

Actor and filmmaker Raveendran has assumed charge as chairman of the Kerala Chalachitra Academy, succeeding the previous leadership of the state-run institution dedicated to cinema promotion and film education. The appointment marks a significant development in Kerala's film governance structure, bringing experienced leadership to the academy's helm.
Priyanka Nair, an accomplished filmmaker and screenwriter known for her contributions to Malayalam cinema, has been appointed as vice-chairperson. Her involvement in the academy's operations is expected to strengthen its creative and administrative functions.
The Kerala Chalachitra Academy serves as a key institutional body overseeing film promotion, preservation, and education initiatives across the state.
