Adani Ahmedabad Marathon Earns World Athletics Global Calendar Status

The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon has been designated for inclusion in the World Athletics Global Calendar, elevating the status of Gujarat's premier running event ahead of its milestone 10th edition scheduled for 29 November 2026.

The calendar designation reflects the marathon's growing stature within the global athletics community and establishes it as an internationally recognized event. Athletes competing at the race will now have their performances considered for selection in major World Athletics competitions and championships.

The marathon, held annually in the city of Ahmedabad, has emerged as one of South Asia's leading mass participation running events. The calendar status is expected to attract elite international competitors and strengthen India's position on the global athletics calendar.

World Athletics maintains a Global Calendar that lists the world's premier athletics events, helping coordinate major competitions and providing a platform for athletes to achieve qualifying standards.
