Adani Enterprises to invest ₹35,000-40,000 crore annually in infrastructure push

Adani Enterprises Ltd will deploy between ₹35,000 crore and ₹40,000 crore annually over the coming two years to accelerate expansion across its core infrastructure businesses, according to senior management at the conglomerate's flagship incubator.

Manan Vakharia, head of finance at Adani Enterprises, outlined the aggressive investment roadmap during the company's latest earnings presentation. "We expect to do capex at a run rate of around ₹40,000 crore. So, we may be somewhere in the range of ₹35,000 crore to ₹40,000 crore, which is the rate we expect to continue over the next couple of years," Vakharia said.

The capital deployment will focus on three primary growth engines. "The heavy lifting will be done by airports, data centres and PVC," Vakharia noted, signalling the company's commitment to scaling operations in these sectors while bringing earlier-stage manufacturing investments towards commercial viability.

The planned expenditure reflects Adani Enterprises' strategy to build on businesses developed in recent years, particularly in the high-growth airports and data centre segments. The company is simultaneously advancing its planned polyvinyl chloride manufacturing complex, a major downstream chemical manufacturing initiative.

The investment push underscores the broader Adani Group's focus on infrastructure modernisation and capacity expansion across India's economy, as the conglomerate seeks to capitalise on growing demand for airport capacity, digital infrastructure and manufacturing capability.
