The Centre of Excellence for Green Energy was formally opened by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat at Kachchh University, marking a collaborative initiative between the Adani Group and the state institution. The facility aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

The centre is designed to accommodate specialised training programmes focused on emerging renewable energy technologies. According to the project scope, the facility is expected to train more than 10,000 students annually through structured courses and hands-on learning modules. The curriculum will address critical skill gaps in solar, wind, and other clean energy domains that are essential for India's energy security objectives.

The establishment of the centre reflects growing industry interest in developing a skilled workforce to support India's renewable energy expansion. As the country pursues ambitious targets for clean energy capacity additions, institutions like Kachchh University are positioning themselves to supply trained professionals to the sector. The Adani Group's involvement underscores the private sector's commitment to supporting educational infrastructure aligned with sustainability goals.

The facility is expected to become a hub for research and development activities alongside its training mandate. By combining academic rigor with industry insights, the centre aims to produce graduates equipped for roles in both established and emerging renewable energy sub-sectors across India.
