The Adani Group has unveiled its inaugural sponsorship initiative for Kolkata's Durga Puja festivities, marking the corporate entity's formal engagement with one of eastern India's most significant cultural events. Branded as the Adani Preview, the programme encompasses eight carefully selected Durga Puja organisers across Kolkata.
Under the initiative, each of the eight participating pujas will receive a grant of ₹25 lakh, translating to a combined contribution of ₹2 crore from the Adani Group towards this year's celebrations. The move reflects the conglomerate's growing focus on supporting regional cultural traditions and community-driven festivities.
Durga Puja remains the most significant festival in Bengal and draws millions of devotees and cultural enthusiasts from across India and abroad. The celebrations, which typically span ten days, feature elaborate pandal designs, artistic installations, and cultural programmes that showcase the region's rich artistic heritage.
The Adani Group's sponsorship programme is expected to enhance the visibility and scale of the selected pujas while providing organisers with additional resources for creative execution and event management. The initiative underscores the growing trend of corporate participation in preserving and promoting India's cultural traditions.
The announcement comes as Kolkata prepares for the upcoming Durga Puja season, with thousands of community-based puja committees gearing up for the festivities.
