Adani Group pledges over ₹1 trillion investment in West Bengal by 2035

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani laid out an ambitious investment roadmap for West Bengal on Thursday, committing to channel over ₹1 lakh crore into the state by 2035. The announcement came during the foundation-laying ceremony for a 2,000-bed multi-speciality hospital in New Town, near Kolkata, attended by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.

The proposed hospital, branded as 'Adani Arogya Mandir', will account for ₹4,000 crore of the total investment and is projected to create 10,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The healthcare facility is designed as a multi-speciality institution targeting both regional and national patient demographics.

Beyond healthcare, the conglomerate plans to expand its footprint across critical infrastructure sectors. Adani's West Bengal portfolio will encompass port development, logistics networks, power generation, road infrastructure and data centre operations, positioning the state as a key hub within the group's broader expansion strategy.

The investment announcement represents one of the largest corporate commitments to West Bengal in recent years, aligning with the state's push to attract major industrial and infrastructure projects.
