The Adani Group's presence at this year's Singapore Grand Prix signals mounting momentum behind plans to restore Formula 1 racing to India after a multi-year hiatus. Pranav Adani's attendance at the prestigious Marina Bay circuit, where he participated as a guest of the International Automobile Federation, reflects the group's active engagement with the sport's governing bodies.

The visit comes in the wake of the Adani Group's acquisition of the Buddh International Circuit in Uttar Pradesh, a venue that previously hosted the Indian Grand Prix. The circuit, designed to world championship standards, has remained largely dormant since the last F1 race was held there in 2013.

India's absence from the Formula 1 calendar has persisted for over a decade, despite the country's growing automotive sector and the burgeoning interest in motorsports among Indian audiences. The Adani Group's acquisition of the facility has reignited expectations within the motorsports community regarding a potential return.

Restoring Formula 1 to India would mark a significant milestone for both the sport and the region, reinforcing India's position as a major economic hub in Asia and demonstrating renewed investment in world-class sporting infrastructure.
