Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited is set to acquire Evos, a Netherlands-based liquid cargo terminal operator, in an all-cash transaction valued at €1.18 billion (approximately $1.28 billion USD). The deal will significantly enhance Adani Ports' European operations and liquid cargo capabilities.
The acquisition will give Adani Ports operational control of eight terminals across Europe, coupled with 6.3 million cubic metres of storage capacity. This addition is expected to diversify the company's service offerings and strengthen its position in the specialized liquid cargo handling segment, which includes chemicals, oils, and other liquid products.
Evos operates a network of facilities strategically positioned across European markets, handling various categories of liquid cargo. The transaction represents Adani Ports' continued strategy of geographic diversification and portfolio expansion beyond its core Indian port operations.
The move underscores Indian infrastructure companies' growing appetite for overseas acquisitions in energy and logistics sectors. Adani Ports has been progressively expanding its terminal network across multiple continents, building on its position as one of India's largest private port operators.
