Adani Power reported a sharp surge in profitability for the second quarter, with net profit exceeding Rs 7,019 crore, more than doubling from the previous year's corresponding period. The performance underscores robust demand in India's power sector and operational efficiency gains across the company's generation portfolio.
Operating revenue climbed 29.8 per cent during the quarter to Rs 17,014.06 crore, compared with Rs 13,106.34 crore in Q2 of the previous fiscal year. The substantial topline growth reflects increased electricity generation and favorable market conditions in India's power market.
The expansion in both revenue and profit margins indicates that Adani Power's operational leverage is translating into stronger financial returns. The company, which operates thermal, renewable and hybrid power generation assets, continues to benefit from India's rising electricity consumption and the government's push toward energy security.
The results come as India's power sector sees sustained growth driven by industrial expansion, urban development and increased domestic consumption. Adani Power's strong quarterly performance reflects its position as a significant player in the country's power generation landscape.
