Adani group equities extended their gains on Tuesday as international brokerage Jefferies initiated buy-rated coverage across four key portfolio companies, signalling renewed investor confidence in the diversified conglomerate's operational and financial trajectory.
Adani Total Gas surged 15%, becoming the session's strongest performer, while Adani Power, Adani Green Energy, Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone collectively gained as much as 4%. The brokerage issued its recommendations following a management meeting with company officials, during which discussions centred on operational metrics and strategic direction across the group's energy and infrastructure verticals.
The ratings boost reflects optimism around the group's positioning within India's expanding renewable energy sector and its critical role in national port infrastructure. Adani's power generation assets, green energy capabilities and energy solutions platform are increasingly viewed as beneficiaries of India's transition toward cleaner electricity generation and improved cargo handling capacity.
Analysts have highlighted the group's scale advantages and execution track record as supporting factors for the positive outlook. The timing of the recommendations underscores investor appetite for large-cap infrastructure plays with visible earnings visibility amid India's ongoing economic expansion.
