Advanced Level Home Economics practicals scheduled for October
The Department of Examinations has announced that practical tests for the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Home Economics examination will take place across 44 centres nationwide. The tests are scheduled to run from October 10-20 for all candidates who completed the written paper.

Candidates preparing for the 2026 Advanced Level Home Economics examination have been notified of the dates for their practical assessments, which will be administered at 44 examination centres distributed across Sri Lanka.
The Department of Examinations confirmed that practical testing will commence on October 10 and continue through October 20. All students who sat for the written component of the subject are eligible to participate in the practical phase of the examination.
Admission cards for school candidates are expected to be distributed through their respective educational institutions, allowing sufficient time for students to prepare for the scheduled assessments. The widespread distribution of examination centres aims to minimise travel disruption for candidates and facilitate organised administration of the tests.
Candidates are advised to confirm their allocated examination centre and reporting times through their schools as the test dates approach. The Department of Examinations will oversee the coordinated conduct of practical assessments at all designated venues to ensure standardised evaluation across the country.
