Pakistan has recalled former Twenty20 captain Salman Ali Agha to its test squad for the upcoming two-match series against Sri Lanka next month. Agha was among seven players dropped mid-series following Pakistan's loss to England in August.

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Saturday that Agha would return to the national test side for the home series against Sri Lanka scheduled for November. His recall comes after he was released from the squad during Pakistan's August tour of England, when the team lost both test matches in the series.
Agha, who previously captained Pakistan's Twenty20 international team, was among a group of seven players deemed surplus to requirements following the disappointing English campaign. The decision to bring him back signals the board's confidence in the middle-order batsman for the upcoming challenge against the visiting Sri Lankan team.
The two-test series marks an important opportunity for Pakistan to rebuild momentum following the setback in England. The home advantage in familiar conditions is expected to provide Pakistan with a better platform to compete, with Agha's experience and familiarity with local pitch conditions potentially valuable assets.
Further squad details and match schedules are expected to be announced as the series approaches.
