Agha's century leads Pakistan to victory over Sri Lanka in tri-series

Agha scored 107 from 90 deliveries to anchor Pakistan's innings after Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis elected to field following his fourth consecutive successful toss. Pakistan accumulated 305 all out in 49.5 overs, establishing a competitive total on a pitch that presented challenges for both batting and bowling sides.

Sri Lanka's chase fell short despite valiant efforts from middle-order batsmen Pavan Rathnayake, who contributed 79 runs, and Janith Liyanage with 60. The visitors were restricted to 268 in 48.1 overs as Pakistan's pace attack capitalised on challenging bowling conditions, particularly the heavy dew that affected the match.

Captain Shaheen Afridi led the bowling effort with three wickets for 55 runs, while Naseem Shah demonstrated exceptional control with two wickets for 43 runs through incisive swing bowling. Haris Rauf claimed two for 48 and Faheem Ashraf took two for 49, including the crucial dismissal of Rathnayake, to complete Pakistan's comprehensive display.

Agha's return to the side comes following his recall from England, where he had captained Pakistan in the opening Test match. His measured innings underscored his value to the team's middle-order as Pakistan seek to build momentum in the tri-series campaign. Pakistan will next face England in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
