Agricultural body urges pension, insurance scheme for drought-hit farmers

The institution has specifically advocated for the introduction of pension schemes and life insurance coverage targeted at the farming population. These instruments would provide farmers with income security and financial protection for their families, addressing vulnerabilities that emerge when drought disrupts harvests and farm revenues.
