Aidil Saputra secured his maiden World Tour title on Sunday, overwhelming tournament favourite Jason Teh in the Vietnam Open final with a convincing straight-sets victory.
The world No. 91 dispatched the top seed 21-16, 21-14 in a commanding display that lasted just 45 minutes, establishing himself as an emerging force in international badminton.
The victory marks a significant breakthrough for Aidil, who has steadily climbed the world rankings in recent seasons. His performance against the favoured Teh demonstrated the consistency and composure required to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
