MANILA — Speaker Faustino "Bojie" G. Dy III, serving as president of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), used the organization's 49th anniversary to issue a call for renewed focus on delivering concrete outcomes across the region.
Dy emphasized that the bloc's nearly five decades of parliamentary cooperation must culminate in credible legislation, fortified institutions, and demonstrable progress for Southeast Asia's citizens. The remarks underscored growing expectations that AIPA member legislatures move beyond high-level dialogue to produce tangible benefits for their constituents.
