Air India approves ₹17.74 crore severance package for departing CEO

Air India has authorized a ₹17.74 crore payout to Campbell Wilson as he steps down from his position as Chief Executive, the airline announced. The compensation package reflects the completion of equity-linked remuneration commitments made during his tenure.

The settlement comprises two distinct components. Wilson will receive ₹15.24 crore in replacement shares accrued under the airline's long-term incentive plan covering the fiscal years 2023 to 2025. This element represents deferred compensation linked to performance milestones and retention objectives across the three-year period.

The package additionally includes a ₹2.5 crore one-time performance reward approved for the financial year 2025. This bonus recognizes specific achievements or strategic objectives met during the final year of Wilson's tenure at the helm of India's national carrier.

The clearance of the severance package concludes Air India's formal financial obligations to the outgoing executive. The payout follows Wilson's departure from the airline, which has been navigating operational expansion and fleet modernization initiatives in recent years under his leadership.
