Air India flight AI-912 from Frankfurt was diverted to Jaipur on Tuesday after the Pilot-in-Command transmitted Code 7500 to air traffic control, signalling unlawful interference or a potential hijack threat. The aircraft landed safely at Jaipur International Airport, where security personnel and aviation authorities immediately initiated standard protocols.
Following a thorough examination of the aircraft and verification of all passengers and crew members, authorities found no evidence of any security breach or threat. Security sources confirmed that the alert was treated with utmost seriousness and all prescribed safety procedures were executed without delay.
After completing the mandatory checks, the flight resumed its journey to Delhi, arriving at Indira Gandhi International Airport later the same day. Code 7500, a transponder code internationally recognised as indicating potential unlawful interference, triggers immediate coordinated responses from aviation security and civilian authorities across all jurisdictions.
Air India said it remained committed to maintaining the highest standards of passenger and crew safety. The airline cooperated fully with security agencies throughout the diversion and subsequent clearance process.
