Air India Flight To Kathmandu Returns To Delhi After Technical Glitch

An Air India flight bound for Kathmandu diverted back to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi following the detection of a suspected technical malfunction, the airline confirmed.
The aircraft was operating flight AI-433 when the issue was identified, prompting the flight crew to return to Delhi as a precautionary measure. Air India prioritised passenger safety in taking the decision to abort the journey and return to base.
To minimise disruption to its schedule, Air India quickly arranged an alternative aircraft to complete the service to Kathmandu. All passengers from the original flight were accommodated on the replacement aircraft and flown to the Nepalese capital.
The incident underscores the airline's commitment to maintaining safety protocols, with technical checks forming a critical part of pre-flight procedures. Air India did not disclose specific details about the nature of the technical issue or provide further comment on the matter.
