Air India, Singapore Airlines expand codeshare to boost India-Singapore connectivity
Air India and Singapore Airlines have broadened their commercial partnership to offer Indian travellers greater choice on routes between India and Singapore. The expansion, effective October 15, will allow passengers to book flights operated by either carrier independently through both airlines' booking platforms.

The two carriers announced the deepened cooperation on Wednesday as part of their Commercial Cooperation Framework Agreement signed earlier this year. The initiative aims to enhance travel options across a significant air corridor linking the two countries.
Under the revised arrangement, travellers will have access to 126 weekly flights connecting Singapore with eight major Indian cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. The expanded network represents a substantial increase in available itineraries across the India-Singapore market.
A key change eliminates the previous requirement that codeshare bookings include flights operated by both airlines. From October 15, passengers will be able to reserve eligible flights operated exclusively by Air India or Singapore Airlines through either carrier's booking channels, providing greater flexibility in journey planning.
The move reflects growing demand for air travel between India and Singapore, driven by business and leisure traffic. By streamlining the booking process and expanding flight options, both airlines are positioning themselves to capture a larger share of the competitive route.
