Air India suspends flights to Saudi Arabia cities through October 24

Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express have announced a temporary suspension of all flights to three major Saudi Arabian cities, effective through October 24.

The suspension affects services to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam. Passengers with bookings made on or before October 15 have been granted flexibility to modify their travel dates, with the option to reschedule flights originally booked between September 9 and October 25 to any date up to November 10.

The airlines have not disclosed specific reasons for the operational suspension. Affected passengers are advised to contact their carriers directly to arrange alternative travel arrangements or seek clarification on rebooking options.

The suspension comes amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East, though no official statement from Air India has directly attributed the decision to security concerns. Other international carriers have also implemented similar measures on routes to the region during recent weeks.
