Air India has suspended flights to Riyadh and Dammam until November 7, while services to Jeddah remain grounded through October 31, the airline announced. The decision reflects ongoing concerns over the regional security situation affecting air operations across the Middle East.
Air India Express, the budget subsidiary of Air India, has aligned its suspension schedule with the mainline carrier's advisory. Both airlines said they are closely monitoring developments and will make further announcements regarding flight resumptions as conditions evolve.
Passengers holding bookings on affected routes are being offered full refunds without penalties, officials said. Additionally, travelers have the option to rebook on alternative flights at no additional cost, subject to availability and standard rebooking terms.
Saudi Arabia remains a significant market for Indian carriers, with thousands of Indian expatriates and business travelers utilizing these routes regularly. The suspension is expected to impact both leisure and business travel between India and the Kingdom during the specified period.
Other international airlines have similarly adjusted their operations in the region. Air India urged affected passengers to contact their booking agents or visit the airline's website for further details and to process refunds or modifications to their travel plans.
