Airtel Money set for London listing at £5.3bn valuation

Airtel Money, the digital financial services arm of Bharti Airtel Limited, will launch its initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange with an indicative valuation of £5.3 billion. The company plans to issue 270 million shares at £1.96 per share, generating approximately £529 million in fresh capital for the payments and fintech platform.

The offering marks a significant milestone for Airtel Money, which has emerged as a key growth driver for the telecommunications conglomerate. The IPO will see partial exits by existing investors who built stakes in the digital payments venture as it expanded its customer base and service offerings across India and select international markets.

Trading in Airtel Money shares is scheduled to commence on October 14, following completion of the listing process. The London listing will provide the fintech platform with enhanced capital and international market exposure as it pursues expansion plans in digital payments, financial services, and related sectors.

The IPO underscores growing investor appetite for digital financial services companies in the region, particularly as digital payments penetration accelerates across South Asia. Airtel Money's valuation reflects the strategic value of its customer base, transaction volumes, and technology infrastructure in the competitive payments ecosystem.
