Yadav suggested that those inclined to rename monuments have an ideal opportunity at hand, sarcastically proposing that the BJP rebrand the structure—built at a cost of several crores—as "Prerana Jalsthal" (Water Memorial). The jab appeared to reference the BJP's track record of renaming public sites and structures.
Addressing BJP leadership directly, Yadav urged the party to demonstrate greater fidelity to the historical figures it purports to venerate. His remarks underscored opposition concerns about the fate of the memorial and broader questions about monument preservation and political priorities.
