Akhilesh Vows to Fulfill Azam Khan's Dreams During Prison Visit

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav met with senior party leader Mohammad Azam Khan at a correctional facility on Tuesday, reaffirming his commitment to the detained politician's cause. Following the meeting, Yadav expressed optimism about Khan's health and prospects for justice, asserting that the party remains dedicated to realizing Khan's political vision.

"Azam is and will remain, and we will fulfill the dream—Ram Raj," Yadav said in remarks to party workers after the visit, using a reference to an idealized governance model. The Samajwadi Party chief indicated that their discussions were productive and voiced hopes for Khan's swift recovery and fair legal treatment.

Ayadav used the occasion to escalate criticism of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of undermining voter confidence through irregularities. He specifically raised concerns about discrepancies in voter rolls, demanding that the Election Commission intervene and issue a conclusive directive on the matter.

The visit underscores ongoing tensions within Uttar Pradesh politics, where Khan's detention has become a flashpoint between opposition and ruling parties. The Samajwadi Party has consistently maintained Khan's innocence and vowed to challenge the legal proceedings against him.
