Lyndon Balubar, the cathedral's parish priest, launched the program in response to requests from local authorities seeking innovative ways to engage the public in dengue prevention. The daily bell tolls will serve as an audible cue for households across Legazpi City to conduct immediate sanitation measures. Health officials have long emphasized that eliminating standing water and maintaining clean environments are among the most effective ways to control dengue transmission in communities.
