All-party forum demands temporary Nandyal Collectorate shift from agricultural research station

An all-party forum in Nandyal district has intensified pressure on authorities to move the temporary district collectorate from its current location at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), raising concerns about the impact on agricultural research operations.

The forum has formally requested the state government to identify an alternative venue for the collectorate, arguing that the current arrangement disrupts critical agricultural research infrastructure and activities at RARS. The shift is seen as essential to restore the research station to its intended purpose of supporting farming communities and agricultural development in the region.

In addition to the collectorate relocation demand, the coalition has urged the administration to cancel a two-acre land allotment at Nunepalle market yard that was approved for a political party office. The forum contends that the allocation represents an improper use of public land meant for agricultural commerce and community benefit.

The combined concerns raised by the multi-party group underscore broader questions about land use priorities in the district. Officials have not yet responded formally to the forum's recommendations, though the matter is expected to be discussed in upcoming administrative reviews of district resource allocation and infrastructure utilization.
