MANILA — A purported bagman testified before the Sandiganbayan Third Division on Thursday that he delivered cash-filled suitcases, or "maleta," to Sen. Vicente "Tito" Sotto III, former Rep. Stella Quimbo, and former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.

The witness provided details of the alleged transactions during the court proceedings, adding another dimension to ongoing corruption-related inquiries in the Philippines. The testimony comes as several high-profile cases involving public officials remain under judicial scrutiny.

Former Senator Trillanes promptly denied the allegations against him. Senator Sotto and former Representative Quimbo had not issued public statements as of Thursday evening, though both were expected to respond to the claims.

The Sandiganbayan, the country's anti-graft court, continues to hear evidence in the case. The court's Third Division has been examining various allegations related to the movement of funds and their alleged distribution among public figures.

The testimony is expected to continue as the court processes additional evidence and statements from other parties involved in the inquiry.
