Allegedly Intoxicated Driver Rams Cab Multiple Times in Gurugram

A cab ride turned violent in Gurugram late Thursday night when a driver of a Delhi-registered Mahindra Thhar allegedly rammed the vehicle repeatedly into a Rapido cab, triggering panic among residents in Sector 89. According to initial reports, the incident occurred following a dispute, after which two young men had gotten into the Rapido cab. The Thhar driver then reversed at high speed and struck the cab multiple times in what witnesses described as a deliberate attack. The repeated impacts left the Rapido vehicle extensively damaged, with the front and rear sections bearing the brunt of the collisions. However, the deployment of the vehicle's airbag system prevented serious injuries to the three occupants inside. Local police have registered a case in connection with the incident. Authorities are investigating whether the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the alleged assault.
