Alonso backs Estevao for more playing time at Chelsea

Alonso moved to quash reports linking the young forward with a temporary move away from Stamford Bridge, stating that the 17-year-old would feature in the squad as the campaign progresses. The manager's comments came with Chelsea preparing to face Manchester United in a Premier League encounter on Saturday.

The Brazilian talent, who joined Chelsea from Palmeiras, has been integrated into the first-team setup since his arrival. Alonso's backing suggests the club views Estevao as part of its long-term plans rather than seeking immediate solutions elsewhere.

Chelsea have invested significantly in young talent in recent transfer windows, and the manager's public endorsement signals the club's confidence in developing Estevao within their system. The fixture against Manchester United represents another opportunity for Chelsea to strengthen their position in the league standings.

Alonso's statement reflects Chelsea's broader strategy of nurturing emerging talent alongside established players, with the manager indicating that game time will come for Estevao as opportunities arise throughout the season.
