Alonso praises Caicedo's influence as Chelsea routs Bournemouth

LONDON — Chelsea delivered a commanding performance at home, with Xabi Alonso crediting the return of key midfielder Moises Caicedo for the club's dominant display against Bournemouth. The Ecuadorian international, back to full fitness and regular playing time, played a crucial role in the Blues' comprehensive victory in the top-flight encounter.

Alonso had been unable to fully integrate Caicedo into his plans earlier in the season due to the midfielder's availability issues. However, with the 22-year-old now consistently available, the Chelsea boss saw tangible improvements in his side's midfield control and attacking fluidity during the rout.

The emphatic scoreline reflected Chelsea's superiority throughout the match, as they dismantled the Cherries' defence with clinical finishing and coordinated team play. Caicedo's contributions in midfield helped Chelsea maintain possession and dictate the tempo of the game, allowing the attack-minded players to flourish.

The victory provided Alonso's side with a significant boost in confidence and points, as they look to sustain their challenge in the Premier League title race. With Caicedo back to operating at full capacity, Chelsea's midfield now possesses the depth and quality needed to compete with England's elite clubs.
