Amazon delivery drivers credited with saving elderly woman's life

An elderly woman's life was potentially saved by two Amazon delivery drivers in Covington, Kentucky, after she suffered a medical emergency while they were completing their delivery.

The incident occurred when the drivers brought a printer inside the woman's residence. After inviting them to her balcony, she suddenly experienced dizziness and stopped breathing. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, one driver immediately performed the Heimlich manoeuvre to clear her airway while the other contacted emergency services.

Paramedics arrived at the scene within five minutes and took over medical care. The rapid response from both the delivery personnel and emergency responders is credited with preventing what could have been a fatal outcome.

The incident highlights how bystanders trained in basic emergency procedures can make a critical difference in life-threatening situations. Amazon has acknowledged the drivers' heroic actions, with their quick thinking and composure demonstrating the importance of remaining alert and prepared to assist in emergencies.
