Amazon expands logistics network with 176 new facilities ahead of festive rush
E-commerce giant Amazon has significantly bolstered its operational infrastructure across India, adding fulfilment centres, sort centres and delivery stations to enhance capacity and extend coverage beyond metropolitan areas as the festive shopping season approaches.

Amazon has announced a substantial expansion of its logistics and delivery network, inaugurating 20 new fulfilment centres, six sort centres and 150 delivery stations across the country. The infrastructure rollout represents a 50 per cent increase in the company's storage capacity and marks a strategic push to strengthen its presence in non-metropolitan regions.
The expansion comes at a critical juncture, with the festive season traditionally driving a surge in online shopping activity. By augmenting its warehouse and distribution capabilities, Amazon aims to improve order fulfillment speeds and enhance service delivery across both urban and emerging markets.
The new facilities are designed to support the company's growing consumer base and handle increased order volumes during peak shopping periods.
