American artisan crafts all 32 NFL team logos from reclaimed wood

Ike Wynter, a wood artist from Wisconsin, has transformed salvaged timber and abandoned furniture into a unique collection of all 32 National Football League team logos. Beginning his labour-intensive project in 2016, Wynter spent over 700 hours meticulously crafting each logo from reclaimed materials sourced from roadsides and discarded pieces.

The ambitious collection attracted significant attention from the NFL organization, leading to the logos being prominently displayed during the 2025 NFL Draft held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The exhibition provided a platform for Wynter's intricate woodworking and his commitment to environmental sustainability through upcycling.

Among his creations, Wynter's rendering of the Buffalo Bills logo holds particular personal significance. The artist crafted the logo to honour his late grandfather, who played professional football for the Bills. This emotional connection underscores Wynter's dedication to the project beyond its technical artistry.

The project demonstrates the intersection of sports culture, artistic craftsmanship, and environmental consciousness. By repurposing discarded materials into detailed sports memorabilia, Wynter has created a collection that celebrates American football while highlighting the potential of sustainable creative practices. The display at the NFL Draft marked a significant recognition of his work within the sports industry.
