AMI to invest $8bn in AI infrastructure push with massive GPU deployment

AMI, the AI infrastructure venture backed by Greenko's promoters, is making a substantial push into India's emerging artificial intelligence ecosystem with plans to deploy advanced computing resources at scale. The platform has ordered 9,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs that will form the backbone of its Hyderabad-based facility, marking a significant investment in domestic AI computing capacity.

The initial phase of the project will establish 200 MW of operational capacity, requiring capital expenditure exceeding $8 billion. This substantial investment reflects growing confidence in India's potential as a hub for AI infrastructure development and compute-intensive operations.

The deployment at the Hyderabad facility positions AMI to serve the expanding demand for AI computing resources from enterprises and developers across India and the broader South Asian region.
