Amirudin tasked with negotiating PH-BN coalition terms for Melaka

SERDANG — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has entrusted Pakatan Harapan election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari with spearheading talks to finalise alliance details between PH and Barisan Nasional for the forthcoming Melaka state polls.

The appointment reflects efforts by the ruling coalition to present a unified front in the southern state, where both political blocs have significant influence. Amirudin's role will involve coordinating discussions on seat distribution, candidate selection, and campaign strategy between the two political forces.

The move signals PH's intent to build on existing cooperative frameworks in Melaka, where previous elections have seen varying degrees of collaboration between the two major political coalitions. The negotiations are expected to address key concerns from both PH and BN representatives to ensure a mutually beneficial arrangement.
