MANILA — Financial forensic analyst Atty. Alexander Cabrera testified before the Senate impeachment court on Friday that Vice President Sara Duterte failed to declare approximately P207 million in cash held in various bank accounts jointly owned with her husband, Manases Carpio.

Cabrera, presenting evidence for Article II of the impeachment case against the vice president, detailed the alleged undisclosed funds as part of the prosecution's case during the 37th day of proceedings. According to the analyst's findings, the total assets of the vice president and her husband amount to approximately P817 million when accounting for both declared and allegedly undeclared holdings.

The testimony adds to mounting allegations regarding financial discrepancies in the vice president's declarations. The case centers on whether Duterte failed to properly report substantial cash reserves during official asset filing processes. The presentation of forensic financial analysis represents a key evidentiary phase in the ongoing impeachment trial.

The proceedings continue as lawmakers examine the prosecution's evidence regarding potential violations of constitutional requirements for public officials to fully disclose their financial holdings. The vice president has maintained her position throughout the trial proceedings.
