Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday levelled serious charges against opposition YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of orchestrating violence through party leaders to destabilize the state government.
Naidu characterized Reddy's approach as a "criminal mindset" manifested through what he termed "hit and run tactics." According to the Chief Minister, the opposition leader's strategy involves precipitating political crises and withdrawing, leaving the government to manage the fallout and potential instability.
The allegations come amid reports of violent incidents attributed to opposition party workers across Andhra Pradesh. Naidu suggested that such incidents are part of a calculated political strategy rather than isolated occurrences, implying coordination at the leadership level.
The Chief Minister's statements reflect escalating tensions between the ruling TDP-led coalition and the opposition YSRCP in the state. Political analysts say such accusations are part of the ongoing blame game between the two major political forces competing for influence in Andhra Pradesh ahead of future electoral contests.
The opposition has not immediately responded to Naidu's allegations. The claims add to the heated political environment in the state, where governance challenges and political opposition have frequently clashed in recent months.
