Andhra CM orders intensified search for missing fishing vessel in Konaseema

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has initiated a review of search and rescue operations for a fishing boat that went missing with eight fishermen aboard off the Konaseema coast in East Godavari district. The vessel set sail from Odalarevu jetty on August 3 and was expected to return by August 12, but has not been traced.

Following the vessel's failure to return on schedule, the Chief Minister has directed the Indian Coast Guard, the State Fisheries Department, and the district administration to maintain intensive search operations until the boat and its crew are located. The authorities have been instructed to spare no effort in the rescue mission.

The extended search operation reflects growing concerns for the safety of the eight fishermen aboard the missing vessel. Authorities have mobilized resources across multiple departments to cover maritime areas where the boat is believed to have been operating.
