Andhra Pradesh allocates ₹760 crore for Amaravati cultural complex

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a formal order sanctioning ₹760 crore for the Amaravati Sangamam project, paving the way for tender proceedings on a comprehensive cultural and institutional complex to be developed at Sakhamuru. The approval, issued on Monday, represents a significant step toward establishing world-class public infrastructure in the state capital region.

The complex will house the A.P. State Public Library, a state archives facility, an auditorium, and the Global Institute of Good Governance. Together, these institutions are designed to serve as cultural, educational, and administrative anchors for Andhra Pradesh's new capital development initiative.

The government order clears the tender process for the project, enabling authorities to invite bids from construction firms and contractors. The approval signals the administration's commitment to realizing the broader Amaravati development vision, which encompasses multiple cultural, residential, and civic infrastructure projects.

The Sangamam initiative has been positioned as a symbol of Andhra Pradesh's aspirations to develop a modern, knowledge-based capital city.
