Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu pushes faster rollout of cleared investment projects

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has issued directives to district collectors to accelerate the execution of investment proposals that have already received clearance from the State Investment Promotion Board. During recent interactions with officials, Naidu emphasised the need to establish firm commencement dates for these projects and ensure they move swiftly from approval stage to ground implementation.

The push for faster project rollout reflects the state government's focus on translating its investment commitments into tangible economic activity. Officials have been instructed to remove administrative bottlenecks and streamline the approval-to-execution pipeline for ventures already cleared by the board.

As part of its broader investment promotion strategy, the state government has scheduled investment summits across five key locations this financial year: Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Amaravati, Anantapur and Tirupati. These regional summits are designed to showcase investment opportunities and attract capital inflows across different sectors and geographies within the state.

The multi-city approach reflects efforts to decentralise investment promotion beyond the capital region and leverage the competitive advantages of each zone. Officials expect the summits to generate fresh project proposals while accelerating decisions on pending opportunities.
