The Andhra Pradesh fire services has announced a significant recruitment drive to fill 305 vacant positions across two categories. The department is seeking 147 driver operators and 158 firemen to strengthen its firefighting capacity across the state.

Prospective firemen candidates must be between 18 and 32 years of age and possess at least an Intermediate qualification. A critical component of the selection process is a fitness test requiring candidates to complete a 1,600-metre run in eight minutes or less, reflecting the demanding physical nature of firefighting duties.

The recruitment process is being conducted through the Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB). Interested candidates are required to submit their applications exclusively through the official online portal at slprb.ap.gov.in. The portal serves as the sole channel for application submission, eliminating offline application methods.
